2nd Sunday of Lent - Year A - Transfiguration & “Bless the Lord, My Soul”
From the sorrow of the Cross to the glory of the Resurrection.
This is the underlying message Jesus gave to his disciples in today’s Gospel for the 2nd Sunday of Lent (Mt 7:1-11) which narrates the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ, after having announced to them his Passion and Death on the cross. In the same episode, God the Father reveals Jesus Christ as His Beloved Son to whom we must listen. We must allow ourselves to be led by Christ, no matter what difficulties our journey may entail, so that we may experience His divine transformation which He also promises for each one of us.
The first (Gn 12:1–4a) and second readings (2 Tm 1:8b–10), tell us about God’s call to a holy life which supposes leaving what it takes to follow His call. Abraham, our father in the faith, is proposed as a model, leaving his land totally trusting in God. The Lord says, “Go from your country and your kindred … and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.”
In honour of these readings, we would like to share our latest video, "Bless the Lord, My Soul", a beautiful, reflective Taizé song of praise to the Lord. Sung with organ and in ostinato style. Our hope is that the song enhances your prayers during Lent, Advent and any other season.

Wishing everyone a prayerful weekend.
God bless,
