The Nativity of the Lord - Year A - O Holy Night

As we near the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we wanted to share our latest video with you, so you can hopefully enjoy it while you pray and celebrate Christmas with your loved ones!

Our latest video, "O Holy Night" (originally called "Cantique de Noël") is a beautiful Christmas Carol normally sung on Christmas Eve. This prayerful carol reflects on the birth of Jesus as humanity's redemption.

O Holy Night is based on an 1843 French-language poem by poet Placide Cappeau that composer Adolphe Adam set to music in 1847. The English version is by John Sullivan Dwight. The version sung in this video was arranged by Sally DeFord, and sung by our Parish’s very own Saturday 5pm Choir!

We also wanted to share our past ‘Songs of Christmas’ collection to help add beautiful music to your holiday celebrations!

We will not be posting a video this weekend as we will be celebrating Christmas with our loved ones. So let us be one of the first to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year!

On behalf of the Sunday 7pm Choir and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all your support through 2022 and looking forward to a wonderful 2023 for all of us!

God bless,

Edmar
