The Baptism of the Lord - Year A - When Heaven Was Opened For You & “I Received the Living God”

With the celebration of the Baptism of the Lord, we bring the season of Christmastide to a close. Yet this feast is far more than a concluding moment on the Church’s calendar. It is a powerful revelation—one that speaks not only about who Jesus is, but about who we are because of Him.

The Baptism of Jesus is not something He needed. It is something we needed.

This weekend, we’d like to share reflections on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. To read the full article, please scroll to the bottom of this newsletter where we’ll cover the following topics:

In honor of this feast day, we would also like to share our latest video, “I Received the Living God”, one of the most enduring and well-loved Catholic hymns sung during Communion. With its serene and flowing tune (LIVING GOD), this hymn proclaims the mystery of Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist and our joyful response to His invitation of life and love.

This new version features an organ accompaniment and the hymn’s simple melody and deeply spiritual refrain make it both meditative and uplifting — a heartfelt expression of faith in the living Christ.
